A painter who uses art history as a jumping off point for her work, Shelley Reed is represented by the Sears-Peyton Gallery in NY.

Shelley has had solo shows with the Sears-Peyton Gallery, the Gibsone Jessop Gallery in Toronto, Canada, and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Also in Boston with the Mario Diacono Gallery, Gallery NAGA, and Zoe Gallery, and NY with the Bess Cutler Gallery. She has participated in many group shows.

Shelley received a 2006 Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, the 2005 Maud Morgan Award from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and a 2005 Berkshire Taconic Artist's Resource Trust Grant.

Her work can be found in public and private collections including: Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Wellington Management Company, Fidelity Investment Corporation, Hallmark Collection, Lila Acheson Wallace Collection, Bank of Boston, Rose Art Museum, Danforth Museum, and the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park.
